Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust in Bath is recruiting two Band 7 Senior Practitioners for Safeguarding Children to lead safeguarding activity within defined localities.

The role involves providing expert safeguarding advice, delivering training, supervising teams, and participating in multiagency partnership groups. It requires working knowledge of legal frameworks and substantial safeguarding experience in health settings.

Qualifications

• Advanced/expert understanding of safeguarding children standards and audits.
• Knowledge of the legal, professional and planning framework for children’s and adult NHS services at a senior level.
• Experience in education, mentorship, coaching, teaching, assessing, presentations.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist professional advice on managing safeguarding children and domestic abuse cases.
• Represent MAPPA and Prevent cases.
• Deputise for the Safeguarding Lead for Children at governance groups.
• Be an active member of safeguarding networks and working groups.
• Support audit rollout and ensure actions followed through.
• Develop and deliver safeguarding training and practice development.
• Contribute to Trust work plans to meet statutory standards.
• Support safeguarding policy development and guidance.
