Job summary

The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Practitioner Safeguarding Adults (Band 7) to lead safeguarding activities across Bath and the surrounding region. You will provide expert professional advice, support local practitioners and drive multi-agency safeguarding work.

You will operate as a lead practitioner in a defined locality, contribute to trust-wide safeguarding initiatives, and provide training and policy development.

Qualifications

• Registered professional with substantial clinical experience in safeguarding.
• Advanced/expert understanding of safeguarding adults, governance, and information sharing.
• Proven leadership/management experience with positive improvements in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support practitioners with safeguarding concerns and multi-agency work.
• Lead safeguarding arrangements in the locality and complete audits.
• Support safeguarding meetings and strategy discussions.
• Provide specialist advice on MAPPA, Prevent, safeguarding children and domestic abuse.
• Cover duties and participate in development of policies and practice.
