Job summary

GSR in London is seeking an experienced Rust/C++ engineer to build low-latency trading infrastructure. You will implement core components of our trading platform, integrate market data, and ensure reliable order placement and balance management in production systems.

You will work with quants, traders, operations and engineering in a multiregional team, driving performance improvements and data provenance. Strong fintech experience and an ownership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in fintech (tradfi and/or crypto) with front office experience
• Strong CS/engineering/mathematics background or equivalent experience
• Experience coding in Rust (preferred) or C++
• Experience building low latency, distributed systems and networking components
• Solid understanding of market data feeds, reference data, and trading workflows
• Strong relationship and communication skills bridging front office requirements with engineering execution
• Ownership mindset and drive for continuous improvement
• Nice to have familiarity with streaming and messaging systems (Aeron preferred)

Responsibilities

• Design and build core components of GSR's low latency trading platform in Rust
• Maintain data quality, cataloguing, and provenance tracing across the platform
• Build APIs and services that deliver analytics data to users in a self‑service form
• Build and maintain trading platform functionality across market connectivity, order placement, and trade and balance management
• Improve existing market connectivity and trading infrastructure
• Partner with quants, traders, operations and engineering to deliver solutions that drive business outcomes
• Contribute hands‑on development within a multiregional team of five on production‑critical systems
