Job summary

Greenhouse Software, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to design and build the low-latency trading infrastructure that connects trading systems to crypto markets.

You will work in Rust on production-critical systems with a multiregional team, focusing on market data distribution, order placement, and analytics data APIs. The role requires 7+ years in fintech with front-office experience, strong CS background, and proficiency in Rust or C++.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in fintech with front-office experience.
• Strong CS, engineering or mathematics background or equivalent experience.
• Experience coding in Rust (preferred) or C++.
• Experience building low latency, distributed systems and networking components.
• Solid understanding of market data feeds, reference data, and trading workflows.
• Ownership mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Nice to have: familiarity with streaming and messaging systems, Aeron preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core components of GSR's low latency trading platform in Rust.
• Maintain data quality, cataloguing, and provenance tracing across the platform.
• Build APIs and services that deliver analytics data to users in a self-service form.
• Build and maintain trading platform functionality across market connectivity, order placement, and trade and balance management.
• Improve existing market connectivity and trading infrastructure.
• Partner with quants, traders, operations and engineering to prioritise and deliver solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Contribute hands-on development within a multiregional team on production-critical systems.
