Job summary

MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Programmer / Analyst to maintain and enhance bespoke business applications. The role covers support across retail, hospitality, wholesale, ERP and finance, along with database maintenance and system monitoring.

You will provide remote and on-site technical support, collaborate with internal teams and external tech suppliers, and contribute to digital forensics when required.

Qualifications

• Third-level education.
• Strong programming ability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience testing data, programs and processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with users at all levels.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance bespoke business applications.
• Support systems across retail, hospitality, wholesale, ERP and finance.
• Perform database maintenance and system monitoring.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to users.
• Work with internal teams and external technology suppliers to resolve issues.
• Contribute to digital forensics activities when required.
• Prioritise tasks according to business impact and follow issues through to resolution.
