Job summary

Humanoid is building HMND‑01 Alpha, the world’s capable humanoid platform, and seeks a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to own test methodology for hardware components, subsystems, and full robots. You will lead hands-on testing on early prototypes, collaborate across teams, and shape what gets measured on the line.

You will design tests, run prototypes, and drive data capture and traceability from EVT toward production, ensuring robust test environments and reliable sign‑offs for shipped robots.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hardware test engineering, with hands-on testing of complex electromechanical systems.
• Strong grasp of test theory, design, and pass/fail criteria.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical fundamentals and GD&T.
• Experience with production/test environments and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Test Method Definition: Define functional, performance, and stress tests for hardware components, with pass/fail criteria and data capture.
• Hands-On Test Execution: Prototype bring-up, characterize against design intent, feed findings back to design team, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Automation Support: Translate manual tests into specifications for automation; decide tests to automate and which remain manual.
• Production Test: Define line rigs, in-process verification, test evidence/traceability, and system-level acceptance tests for robots.
• Quality & Design Feedback Loop: Define component performance characteristics,partner on root-cause analysis, and feed findings back into design.
