Job summary

Humanoid in the United Kingdom is seeking a Robotics Test Engineer to validate software releases on real humanoid platforms, run policy evaluations, and build robust data pipelines for end-to-end metrics. You will own day-to-day testing, contribute to CI/CD, and work with Gazebo and NVIDIA Isaac Sim to compare simulation with live robot runs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software test engineering or test automation, ideally with robotics, embedded systems, or physical-systems domain.
• Proficient in Python for scripting and test automation; comfortable reading C++.
• Working knowledge of ROS2 — understand topics, services, and how to interact with a running robot.
• OS: comfortable in Linux (Ubuntu) with terminal, shell scripting, and basic administration.

Responsibilities

• Release Validation: execute end-to-end test pipeline for each new software release and gate quality before fleet deployment.
• Policy Evaluations: help design and run evaluations for learned behaviors, define success criteria, and collect results reproducibly.
• Metrics: support end-to-end performance and reliability metrics, maintain dashboards showing pass/fail rates and trends.
