Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a leading international construction consultancy on a major energy infrastructure project in the UK. The role requires strong QCRA/QSRA experience and the ability to lead risk management across a complex programme.

Hybrid London working. You will develop risk registers, run workshops, report findings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate risk mitigation into project decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a dedicated Risk Manager or senior project risk management position.
• Strong practical experience undertaking Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA).
• Strong practical experience undertaking Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA).
• Experience managing risk on major, complex infrastructure or capital investment projects.
• Ability to interpret, explain and present quantitative risk analysis findings to clients and project teams.
• Experience developing risk registers, facilitating workshops and implementing risk mitigation processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to integrate effectively into an established multidisciplinary team.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to managing project risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project risk management activities across a complex energy infrastructure programme.
• Undertake detailed Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA).
• Develop, maintain and manage project risk registers, ensuring risks are appropriately identified, assessed and monitored.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Analyse cost and programme uncertainty, providing clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Produce quantitative risk analysis reports and present findings to project teams and senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with project controls, planning, commercial and delivery teams to integrate risk management into project decision-making.
• Identify emerging risks, interdependencies and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure effective communication of risk exposure, potential impacts and recommended mitigation measures.
