AVH Parks, part of the Anglian Water Group, invites a Senior Retail Assistant to join our fisheries team at Rutland Water and Grafham Water. You'll enhance guest experiences, manage retail and online offers, stock, and events while supporting day-to-day lodge operations.

This role blends retail, hospitality and outdoor activity, with weekend shifts and a chance to develop across two premier fishing destinations.

Qualifications

• Essential experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong IT and system skills are required.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in retail or sales is desirable.
• Knowledge or experience of angling and fisheries is a plus.
• Experience in supervisory or senior team roles is advantageous.
• Purchasing or stock management experience is a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable visitor experiences.
• Support the Retail Manager with coaching and training of retail assistants.
• Assist with the smooth operation of fishing lodge stores.
• Manage customer bookings and enquiries across channels.
• Maintain attractive, well-stocked retail displays.
• Support the growth of our ecommerce offer.
• Assist with stock control, stock takes and purchasing.
• Handle cash, banking and daily reconciliation procedures.
• Support fishing competitions and events.
• Deputise for the Retail Manager when required.
• Help maintain health, safety and compliance standards.

Senior Retail Assistant Rutland Water Fishing Lodge Salary: from £28,000 Contract: Full Time, Permanent Location: Rutland Water Working Pattern: Includes weekends and bank holidays, working across both Rutland and Grafham Water Fishing Lodge

Love retail, customer service and the great outdoors? We're looking for a passionate and proactive Senior Retail Assistant to join our fisheries team at two of the UK's premier game fishing destinations. Working across both Rutland Water and Grafham Water, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience for our angling customers while supporting the day-to-day operation of our retail and online offering. This isn't your typical retail role. One day you'll be helping customers prepare for a day on the water, the next you'll be managing stock, supporting fishing events, analysing sales performance, or assisting with our growing online store.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support fishing competitions and events.
• Deputise for the Retail Manager when required.
• Help ensure the highest standards of health, safety and compliance are maintained.

What We're Looking For
