Job summary

Wendy in London is seeking a Restaurant Technology Senior Engineer to configure, maintain and support POS, KDS, kiosks, and related restaurant technologies across UK & Europe. You will work with US teams and vendors to implement changes, resolve issues, and ensure reliable operations.

The role involves leading deployments, supporting openings, remodels and time-sensitive campaigns, and maintaining thorough technical documentation and configuration records across markets.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive experience engineering and supporting retail, hospitality or QSR technology, including hands on experience with POS, menu, pricing and promotional configurations.
• Experience working with third-party technology vendors, managed service providers, and cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience supporting KDS and self-service kiosks.
• Experience supporting digital ordering and delivery aggregation.
• Experience in franchise restaurant environments.
• Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, release management, monitoring, and ITIL practices.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize restaurant technology platforms, including POS, KDS, kiosks, and related applications, ensuring reliable operation and accurate configuration across markets.
• Lead the build and deployment of restaurant technology changes, including menus, pricing, promotions, and system configurations, conducting testing and validation activities to ensure successful production releases.
• Support restaurant technology initiatives and business operations, including new restaurant openings, remodels, and time-sensitive marketing campaigns, while maintaining technical documentation and configuration records.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for restaurant technology platforms, resolving configuration, integration, and operational issues across supported systems.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and primary escalation point for Help Desk teams, managing complex incidents, providing technical guidance, and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Partner with internal teams and technology vendors to investigate and resolve technical issues, while supporting business-critical events, restaurant openings, and technology deployments.
• Collaborate with technology vendors and managed service providers resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions across restaurant technology platforms.
• Support the successful implementation of restaurant technology changes through testing, change management, and deployment activities across international markets.
