Job summary

WSP is seeking a highly skilled Geologist to join the Mine Engineering & Stability team at a Senior/Director level. Reporting to the MES Lead, this role offers London or UK/Ireland flexibility with a passion for geology and growth.

You will develop geological models, estimate resources, and lead QA/QC across projects. The ideal candidate has Chartered Geologist status, strong geostatistics experience, and the ability to manage public disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology from a recognised university.
• Resource estimation experience across commodities and deposit types.
• Registered Chartered Geologist (CGeol) in the UK or equivalent.
• Familiar with NI 43-101, S-K 1300, JORC, SAMREC, SME guidelines.
• Skills in geostatistics and resources estimation.
• Willing to assume Competent Person/Qualified Person duties on public disclosures.
• Knowledge of mining fundamentals, rock mechanics and mineral processing.
• Proficient with MS Office and 3D modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine geological models to support resource estimation.
• Estimate mineral resources with precision and accuracy.
• Conduct site investigations and audits for quality and compliance.
• Lead QA/QC reviews on projects and prepare technical reports.
• Contribute to and review studies including PEA, PFS, FS.
• Promote WSP capabilities to attract new clients and opportunities.
• Attend client meetings, field reviews, and project oversight.
• Travel as required for project work.
