Job summary

WSP is seeking a highly skilled Geologist to join the Mine Engineering & Stability (MES) team at senior/director level to drive resource estimation and geological modelling across UK&I. You will report to the MES Lead and operate from London or elsewhere in the UK/Ireland, with the chance to travel across locations.

The role requires Chartered Geologist status, broad experience in consultancy, and strong collaboration with clients and teams to deliver high-quality studies and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in geology from a recognised university or equivalent.
• Resource estimation experience across multiple commodities and deposits.
• Registered as a Chartered Geologist (CGeol) in the UK or equivalent.
• Familiar with NI 43-101, S-K 1300, JORC, SAMREC and SME guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine geological models to support resource estimation.
• Estimate mineral resources with precision and accuracy.
• Conduct site investigations and audits to ensure quality standards.
• Lead QA/QC reviews on projects and contribute to technical reports.
• Assist in scoping geological mining studies (PEA, PFS, FS).
• Promote WSP capabilities and assist business development.
