Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a highly skilled Geologist to join the Mine Engineering & Stability team at Senior/Director level. You will develop geological models, estimate mineral resources, and lead QC reviews across projects in the UK and Ireland, reporting to the MES Lead.

The role requires Chartered Geologist status, strong communication, and willingness to travel. Hybrid working across UK/Ireland is available, with opportunities to shape major mining studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in geology from a recognised university.
• Experience in resource estimation across commodities and deposit types.
• Registered Chartered Geologist (CGeol) in the UK or equivalent.
• Familiar with international/public disclosure codes (NI 43-101, S-K 1300, JORC, SME).
• Skills in geostatistics and resource estimation.
• Ability to act as Competent/Qualified Person on public disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine geological models to support resource estimation.
• Estimate mineral resources with precision and accuracy.
• Conduct site investigations and audits for compliance and quality.
• Lead QA/QC reviews on projects.
• Contribute to technical reports and studies.
• Define scope for PEA, PFS, and FS geological studies.
• Promote WSP capabilities and attract clients.
• Attend client meetings and field reviews across locations.
