A leading care provider seeks a Senior Residential Support Worker / Team Leader for a therapeutic children's home. The role involves mentoring staff, problem-solving, and ensuring the well-being of children aged 7 to 17. Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker / Team Leader
Provision: Children's Home, 7 to 17, Therapeutic Home, 3 Bed
Salary: Up to £31,000 Depending on Experience (£13.00 per hour, £60 per sleep, and £120 on-call top-up)
Location: Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne
Reporting to: Deputy / Registered Manager
Desired Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR equivalent OR enrolled on

Reporting to the Assistant/Deputy Manager, you will be the lead practitioner on shift, mentoring, supporting, and coaching new team members. Drawing upon your extensive experience, you'll manage challenges that arise. No two days are the same. You will collaborate with education and therapy consultants, as well as colleagues from the wider sector, always keeping the children at the center of your work. You'll have the support of a dedicated, compassionate, and like-minded team committed to the well-being of both the children and the community.
What we are looking for:
Ideally, you have achieved a Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People’s Workforce. Experience in Residential Children's Services or similar settings working with children with therapeutic needs is preferred.
