Job summary

Sgscare is looking for a Team Leader for a Children's Residential Home in Newmarket. This role involves leading a team to deliver exceptional care for children with complex needs. Job description

Team Leader – Children's Residential Home

Location: Newmarket

Salary: £34,106 - £36,257 per annum (including typical sleep‑ins)

Hourly Rate: £14.67 - £15.79 per hour

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Days) or 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM (Nights)
Flexible options available – Days, Nights or Hybrid working

Employment Type: Permanent

Sleep‑ins: Typically 11 sleep‑ins per month, paid at £45 per sleep

Service: Children's Residential Home

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)

Experience Required: Experience within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home or similar residential childcare setting, with previous leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Supporting staff through supervision, guidance and training.
  • Working closely with families and external professionals.
