Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead is seeking an experienced Reporting Radiographer to join our Radiology team. This advanced practitioner role will deliver accurate reports, support timely diagnosis and lead quality-improvement across imaging services.

The post holder will mentor radiographers and students, participate in governance activities and drive service development within an NHS foundation trust renowned for specialist reconstructive care and regional imaging

Qualifications

• Independent reporting of radiographic examinations within the agreed scope of practice.
• Leadership and mentorship of radiographers, trainees and students.
• Engagement in audit, quality assurance, clinical governance and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Independently interpret and report radiographic examinations within the agreed scope of practice.
• Undertake diagnostic radiography duties with high standards of patient care, safety and image quality.
• Collaborate with consultant radiologists, clinicians and MDTs to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit and service improvement initiatives.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to radiographers, students and trainees.
• Contribute to education, training and assessment of staff and learners.
• Support development and implementation of departmental policies and evidence-based practice.
• Maintain professional registration and pursue CPD to support advanced practice.
• Assist in delivering an efficient, patient-focused radiology service and meet turnaround times.
• Participate in out-of-hours, weekend and emergency imaging as required.
