Job summary

Jobtailor in London is seeking a qualified accountant to oversee the preparation of group and entity statutory financial statements and external reporting. You will produce accurate reports and schedules, coordinate information with auditors, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and prepare technical papers.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and external reporting experience, ideally gained within insurance, financial services or another complex, regulated environment
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification
• Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements
• Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and external reporting requirements
• Experience working closely with external auditors
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across different teams
• Proactive and collaborative approach, with confidence to challenge where needed
• Interest in improving processes and strengthening financial controls
