Job summary

Weareedenbrook is partnering with a major Life & Pensions client to recruit a Reporting / Senior Reporting Accountant in London. The role spans statutory and regulatory reporting across a complex multi-entity environment, with exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, Group reporting and external audit.

The successful candidate will manage SFCR and QRTs, IFRS 17 and Solvency II, contribute to controls, and collaborate with audit and Group teams to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in statutory/regulatory reporting, ideally in insurance.
• Strong knowledge of LUXGAAP with experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements.
• Experience with EU regulatory reporting, including SFCR and QRTs.
• Good understanding of life insurance accounting and the finance/actuarial interface.
• Experience with IFRS 17, Solvency II, group consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, with analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Prior experience within the insurance industry is essential

Responsibilities

Job description

We are working with a large Life & Pensions and Investments client who are looking for a Reporting / Senior Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. The role will support statutory and regulatory reporting across a complex, multi-entity environment, with exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, Group reporting and external audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, interim filings and regulatory reporting, including SFCR and Non-Actuarial QRTs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements, including IFRS, LUXGAAP and Solvency II.
• Support financial close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and disclosures.
• Prepare and support technical accounting papers for significant transactions and accounting judgements.
• Assist with Group reporting, consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and reporting packs.
• Support the external audit process, responding to queries and ensuring timely delivery of information.
• Contribute to strengthening financial controls and driving improvements across reporting processes.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in statutory and/or regulatory reporting, ideally within the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of LUXGAAP, with experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements.
• Experience with EU regulatory reporting, including SFCR and QRTs.
