Job summary

Weareedenbrook is seeking a Reporting / Senior Reporting Accountant to join its finance team in a life & pensions and investments context. The role covers statutory and regulatory reporting across a multi-entity environment, with exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, Group reporting and external audit.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience, proficient in IFRS 17, Solvency II and EU reporting (SFCR/QRTs), and able to drive improvements

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in statutory and regulatory reporting, ideally within the insurance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of LUXGAAP, with experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements.
  • Experience with EU regulatory reporting, including SFCR and QRTs.
  • Good understanding of life insurance accounting and the Finance/Actuarial interface.
  • Experience with, or a strong understanding of, IFRS 17, Solvency II, Group consolidation, multi-entity reporting and financial control frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience within the insurance industry is essential

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, interim filings and regulatory reporting, including SFCR and Non-Actuarial QRTs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements, including IFRS, LUXGAAP and Solvency II.
  • Support financial close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and disclosures.
  • Prepare and support technical accounting papers for significant transactions and accounting judgements.
  • Assist with Group reporting, consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and reporting packs.
  • Support the external audit process, responding to queries and ensuring timely delivery of information.
  • Contribute to strengthening financial controls and driving improvements across reporting processes.

Job description

We are working with a large Life & Pensions and Investments client who are looking for a Reporting / Senior Reporting Accountant to join their finance team.
