Job summary

Yorkshire Housing is recruiting a Senior Repairs Team Leader to lead across responsive repairs, empty homes and planned works at Swarcliffe. You will manage trade operatives and repairs supervisors, ensuring the right people and skills are in place and maintaining quality, performance and safety.

We expect a genuine people-person who can coach, develop the team and keep customers at the heart of the service, with a strong focus on delivering value and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading trade operatives and repairs supervisors.
• Knowledge of repairs, empty homes and planned works.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work or emergencies.
• Experience in social housing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade operatives and repairs supervisors, creating a team where people feel valued and clear about expectations.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs, empty homes and planned works to meet standards and targets.
• Get ahead of workforce challenges by ensuring right skills and resources are available.
• Champion health, safety and compliance and ensure work is carried out safely.
• Monitor performance and address issues early; manage subcontractor performance.
• Take ownership of issues, including customer complaints, and drive service improvements.
