And Yorkshire Housing Limited in Swarcliffe is looking for a Senior Repairs Team Leader to drive responsive repairs, empty homes and planned works with hands-on leadership of trade operatives and repairs supervisors.

You will coach and develop your team, ensure health & safety and compliance, monitor performance via KPIs, and coordinate with contractors to deliver quality on time. A UK driving licence and flexibility for out-of-hours work are required.

Know repairs inside out? Love leading people? And reckon a great service starts with getting the basics brilliantly right? We might just have the job for you…. We’re looking for a Senior Repairs Team Leader to join our team at Swarcliffe, taking the lead across responsive repairs, empty homes and planned works. This isn’t a sit-behind-a-desk-and-watch-the-numbers kind of leadership role. You’ll be right at the heart of the operation, leading our trade operatives and repairs supervisors, making sure we’ve got the right people and skills in the right places and keeping a close eye on quality, performance and safety. Because ultimately, it’s pretty simple: we want our customers to get a repairs service we can all be proud of.

What will you bring?

First up, you’ll know your stuff when it comes to repairs, empty homes and planned works, ideally from a social housing environment. But we’re looking for more than technical know-how. You’ll be a genuine people person who knows how to lead a busy operational team, set clear expectations and get the best from people. You’ll be just as comfortable coaching someone through a challenge as you are looking at performance, sorting an operational problem or working with contractors to get something back on track. You’ll also bring:

You’ll also need a full UK driving licence and access to a car, and you’ll need some flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work or emergency calls.
