Job summary

ERM is seeking an experienced Transport Director to lead and grow our Transport & Access capability across renewables, energy and major infrastructure sectors in the UK. You will provide strategic leadership, technical excellence and project delivery oversight for transport-related services, focusing on wind, grid infrastructure, hydrogen and storage projects.

Qualifications

Experience delivering transport and infrastructure consultancy services.
Significant renewables energy development experience, particularly wind.
Strong understanding of UK and Ireland planning and consenting regimes.
Proven leadership in EIAs, DCOs and major infrastructure planning applications.
Experience undertaking or reviewing Abnormal Load Route Assessments and Swept Path Analysis.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical authority for transport and access workstreams across renewables and infrastructure projects.
Lead the preparation and quality review of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, CTMPs, CEMPs and ALRA.
Provide strategic advice on constraints, access feasibility and consenting risks during development.
Act as Expert Witness at planning appeals, inquiries and examinations when required.
Lead transport inputs for onshore/offshore wind, solar, BESS, hydrogen and transmission projects.
Direct route optioneering studies and transport risk assessments to support planning applications.
Drive best practice for turbine delivery route modelling and logistics planning.
Lead business development with renewables clients and develop transport service offerings.
