Job summary

STARK Building Materials UK in Coventry is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead the Renewables & Electrification category. You will develop the commercial strategy, drive margin improvement, and grow market share across customer projects.

The role reports to the Head of Category LBM and partners with the Director of Renewables and Electrification to position STARK UK as a market leader. Hybrid working – 4 days at our Binley, Coventry office and 1 day WFH.

Qualifications

• Experience in category management within renewables and electrification.
• Proven negotiation and end-to-end procurement experience.
• Exposure to contract terms negotiation and working with legal teams is key.
• Customer focus with understanding of targets, customer needs, competitor landscape and market dynamics.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple levels and functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic supplier partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, analyse category performance, and provide commercial insights to support growth.
• Own and deliver 2–3-year strategy for the responsible category area.
• Be the first line of contact for internal and external stakeholders for allocated categories.
• Negotiate and deliver supplier trading agreements in line with group goals.
• Monitor category performance, generate reports, and提析 pricing, sales, and promotions to drive improvements.
• Contribute to sustainability goals and the broader group sustainability agenda.
