Job summary

Belectric UK is seeking a Category Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for solar PV and battery storage projects. You’ll manage construction services, mounting systems, and civil works, driving cost efficiencies and supplier performance across international activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing materials and services.
• Track record negotiating EPC subcontractor or infrastructure packages (£5M–£50M+).
• Several years of procurement experience and in-depth expertise in strategic procurement and contract management.
• Excellent contract negotiation and tender evaluation skills (technical + commercial).
• Experience running end-to-end procurement projects using various routes to market.
• Degree in procurement, projects, engineering or relevant field.
• Experience in the renewables industry would be highly advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for construction services, (PV) mounting systems, civil works for international PV and battery storage plants.
• Develop and implement joint category strategies, manage supplier relationships, ensure compliance with standards and objectives.
• Lead bids/RFQs, evaluations, negotiations to contract award with compliant processes and best value.
• Manage supplier relationships and collaborate with global procurement teams.
• Maintain procurement status, price levels, savings, negotiations and deliveries with project reports.
• Lead contract negotiations with internal stakeholders and legal.
• Identify project risks and mitigation on purchasing activities.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and good purchasing practices.
• Support supplier qualification and post-sales activities.
