Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Category Manager (L8) to lead procurement strategy across the Electronics Division. You will manage a team to deliver category plans, drive cost savings, and oversee contract negotiations across the UK, including SAP alignment and governance compliance.

You will work within a hybrid UK setup with opportunities across Edinburgh, Basildon and Luton, reporting to the UK Senior Category Manager. A business/engineering degree and extensive procurement experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive procurement experience including category management
• Demonstrable understanding of Contract Terms & Conditions
• Experience leading a team of professionals
• A relevant business/engineering degree and/or similar experience
• Significant experience in managing complex tenders
• Strong knowledge of business processes and objectives
• Experience in a highly regulated environment
• Proficient MS Office skills
• CIPS qualification preferred
• SAP user experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver the strategy for the category/categories across UK sites
• Manage a procurement team to support category strategy execution
• Oversee timely contracts execution including tender management, price & contract negotiations
• Engage with functions/projects to identify opportunities
• Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and conduct regular business reviews
• Support Head of Direct Category Management in developing the framework
• Represent Category Management across UK LoBs and influence stakeholders
• Ensure SAP reflects implemented agreements
• Assist governance and audits as required
• Drive cost savings and benchmarking prior to negotiations
