Job summary

Amazon's Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team maintains equipment across our EU network. As a Senior RME Technician, you will lead shifts, ensure safe operation, and drive upgrades to keep systems efficient and compliant.

You'll supervise technicians, monitor performance with SCADA, and implement improvements across sites. The role may involve weekends and nights and offers opportunities to progress into more senior positions within Amazon's operations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, or completed a 4-year IRL/UK certified apprenticeship.
• Relevant experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and monitor team adherence.
• Track equipment performance via visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and servicing.
• Supervise technicians on shift and be first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and speed up package processing.
• Contribute to continual improvements and standardize processes across the EU network.
