Job summary

This role is located at one of Amazon's operational sites. You'll lead a shift, supervise technicians, and ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently to keep operations and express deliveries on track.

In collaboration with your line manager, you will apply preventative maintenance, monitor performance with SCADA, and implement improvements across the EU network, contributing to higher uptime and standardised processes.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, or completed a 4-year IRL/UK certified apprenticeship.
• Technical leadership experience in a hands-on environment.
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure everyone follows the correct processes.
• Keep track of equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks and schedule additional servicing when required.
• Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations so they can process packages as quickly as possible.
• Support in finding ways to continually improve systems and standardise processes across the EU network.
