Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer (RME) Technician at an operating site in the UK. You will lead a shift, ensure safe equipment use, and drive preventative maintenance to maximise uptime across EU facilities.

RME specialists focus on upgrades, process improvements, and adoption of new technologies like robotics. The role requires flexibility for weekends/nights and progression into more senior positions.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/SVQ3/IVQ3/City & Guilds Level 3/EAL Level 3 all specialized in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, or 4 years UK certified apprenticeship.
• Associate's degree in Mechatronics or related field preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
• Experience with automated conveyors systems and controls; reading blueprints/schematics; PLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure processes are followed.
• Track equipment performance via visual checks and preventative maintenance tasks; schedule servicing as required.
• Supervise technicians on shift and act as first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and support fast package processing.
• Assist in standardising processes across the EU network and identify improvements.
