Job summary

Rec2Rec Search is seeking an experienced recruiter to run their own desk on a fully remote basis. There are no KPIs and you’ll enjoy real flexibility around family life, with the founders trusting you to deliver results.

You’ll focus on permanent commercial and office roles for SMEs and larger clients, building a self-sufficient desk, with realistic monthly billings and opportunities to specialise in areas like legal, finance or insurance. Occasional in-person meet-ups are available.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years recruitment experience with demonstrable billings.
• Self-sufficient, organized, and productive at home.
• Honest, consultative, with high English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Run your own desk and build a new market focus.
• Take responsibility for end-to-end recruitment from lead to close.
• Work with founders and attend occasional meet-ups.

An established independent recruitment agency is looking for an experienced recruiter to run their own desk, fully remote, with no KPIs and real flexibility around family life. The business has traded for ten years, works consultatively and honestly with clients and candidates, and counts many clients who have been with them since day one.

This is a chance to run your own business within a business. You decide how you work, the only measure is your month-end number, and you are trusted to deliver it.

The company

• Independent generalist agency, run by experienced founders who recruit in a traditional consultative way.
• Mainly permanent commercial and office roles (accounts, marketing, sales, project management, office support) for SMEs and larger clients across financial services, property, data centres and AI.
• Highly selective methodology.
• Targeted, researched business development.

The role

• Run your own desk, building and developing your own market rather than inheriting an existing client base.
• Realistic billing expectation of £12,000 to £15,000 per month.
• No KPIs and no micromanagement. You are judged on results, not activity.
• Work from home, with occasional in-person meet-ups with the founders.
• Core hours 9 to 5, with flexibility around the school run and life outside work.
• Scope to bring a specialism the business does not currently cover, such as legal, finance or insurance.
• Room to grow into leading others if you want progression.

Who this would suit

• Three to four years' recruitment experience, with billings you can evidence and talk through.
• A business developer with a track record in building a desk rather than caretaking accounts.
• Self-sufficient, organised and productive when working from home.
• Honest and consultative, candid with clients when a brief is difficult, and focused on quality over volume.
• Resilient, with backbone, a genuine human touch and a high standard of written English
• Within reasonable travel of Berkshire for occasional meet-ups. Exceptional candidates further afield will be considered

The Package

• £35,000 to £45,000 basic plus commission
