Job description

Global, inclusive and innovative - welcome to AMS, where talent connects across cultures and backgrounds to shape the future of work.

We work with leading organizations to design and deliver talent strategies that bring together people, process, data and technology, helping millions of people find meaningful work every year. Our diverse, connected community collaborates to create results for clients and opportunities for our people to learn, grow and make an impact.

At AMS, we look for people who bring more than experience, and we welcome different perspectives and ways of thinking.

Location: Edinburgh or Bristol, 3 days on client site

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

As a Senior Recruiter, you will take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process across a range of roles in the professional space, with a strong focus on delivering within the technology space.

You’ll work closely with Hiring Managers and senior stakeholders to understand their recruitment needs, challenge and shape requirements, and develop effective strategies to attract and secure the right talent.

You’ll be responsible for finding and engaging candidates across both active and passive talent markets, assessing their suitability and motivations, managing the recruitment process and providing an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through to offer.

You’ll bring strong market knowledge and recruitment expertise to every conversation, using data, insight and your understanding of the talent market to influence hiring decisions.

This is a role for someone who is commercially minded, proactive and confident working closely with senior stakeholders in the business - not simply someone who manages vacancies.

Key Accountabilities

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Hiring Managers and senior stakeholders across critical business units via detailed strategy meetings, clear recruitment strategies, relevant sourcing approaches, consistent communication and strong delivery timelines from initial partnering right through to onboarding.
  • Build credibility through consistent delivery, market knowledge and a strong understanding of the client’s business.
  • Manage multiple vacancies and priorities while maintaining high standards of delivery.
  • Proactively manage recruitment risks, bottlenecks and delays to ensure roles progress effectively.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screening and assessment conversations and build compelling and authentic candidate propositions that bring opportunities to life.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and assess technical requirements when recruiting technology and specialist positions.
  • Provide Hiring Managers with insight into talent availability, competitor organisations, candidate expectations and market challenges.
  • Build credible, professional and engaging relationships with candidates.
  • Act as an ambassador for Computershare and AMS throughout the candidates’ recruitment journey.
  • Support and coach less experienced recruiters where appropriate.
  • Contribute to team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Requirements

Must Have

  • Significant recruitment experience gained across technology disciplines and ideally within a complex, fast-paced or multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment, from taking the initial brief through to offer and onboarding.
  • The ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into an effective recruitment strategy.
  • Proven experience partnering with Hiring Managers and senior stakeholders, with the confidence to advise, influence and constructively challenge.
  • Strong candidate assessment and interviewing skills, with the ability to assess technical capability, experience, motivations and cultural alignment.
  • Experience using market intelligence, talent mapping or recruitment data to inform sourcing and hiring strategies.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing deadlines.
  • A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach, particularly when dealing with challenging recruitment requirements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the impact recruitment has on business performance.
  • A genuine commitment to diversity, inclusion and delivering a fair and engaging candidate experience.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means becoming a trusted recruitment partner to Computershare.

You’ll build strong relationships with Hiring Managers, understand their challenges and provide recruitment advice that genuinely influences hiring decisions.

You’ll be proactive in the market, finding talent rather than simply waiting for it to come to you. You’ll know how to identify passive candidates, engage them effectively and assess whether they are right for the opportunity.

You’ll bring structure and pace to the recruitment process while maintaining a high bar for quality and candidate experience.

And you’ll use your experience, market knowledge and data to continuously improve how we recruit.

Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who can say:

"Give me a challenging role, a complex stakeholder group and a competitive talent market - I’ll build the strategy, find the talent and deliver the hire."
