Job summary

Active Pathways Ltd. is seeking a Mental Health Team Leader for Heathy House in Halifax to guide a small residential service supporting up to 10 men.

The role focuses on leadership, staff development and delivering recovery-oriented, person-centred care within a structured rehabilitation setting. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to supervise shifts, ensure high standards of care, and coordinate care planning, risk management and records.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs.
• Leadership or supervisory experience within a health or social care setting.
• Strong safeguarding, risk management and CQC knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with care planning, audits and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to lead with confidence, empathy and professionalism.
• Commitment to recovery-focused, person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating and supporting a team to deliver exceptional care and support
• Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential
• Promoting a positive, recovery-focused culture throughout the service
• Ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred support
• Supporting effective care planning, risk management and accurate record keeping
• Maintaining compliance with CQC standards, legislation and organisational policies
• Assisting with staffing, rota management and resource planning
• Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development
• Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders
• Monitoring quality, completing audits and driving continuous improvement
• Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall operation of the service
• Participating in the local on-call rota and providing management cover when required
