Job summary

Phoenix Futures is seeking a Senior Recovery Worker Practitioner to support service users at HMP Pentonville. The role emphasizes training staff, leading interventions, and building partnerships within a custodial setting.

You will carry a caseload, contribute to care planning, and develop skills for eventual line-management duties while delivering recovery-focused support and relapse prevention activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care, ideally in substance use or mental health
• Evidence of effective partnership working for client benefit
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload or multiple tasks
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word; familiarity with database systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of custody-related issues and complex client needs
• Driven, reliable, and keen to learn

Responsibilities

• Support people at HMP Pentonville to reach goals and change lives
• Train existing staff and induct new team members in service delivery
• Develop and deliver interventions and care plans
• Lead group interventions and manage a caseload of clients
