Job summary

AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, seeks a Senior Consultant to implement and optimize Real-Time Optimization solutions for ethylene/steam cracker plants. You will model complex processes, configure online execution, and drive data-driven improvements across operations.

You will also integrate APO with APC/DCS systems, mentor engineers, and deliver robust closed-loop optimization strategies to improve plant performance and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Chemical Engineering or equivalent process engineering degree.
• Strong experience in ethylene/steam cracker process engineering, simulation or optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AVEVA Process Optimization (APO/ROMeo) or equivalent RTO technology.

Responsibilities

• Implement, commission, and maintain APO Real-Time Optimization (RTO) for ethylene/steam cracker plants.
• Develop and validate rigorous process models for cracker complexes.
• Configure and troubleshoot online model execution and data interfaces.
• Develop economic optimization cases considering feed costs, utilities, and plant constraints.
• Integrate APO with APC/DCS systems for closed-loop targets and setpoints.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to RTO engineers.
