Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking a Senior Carer for its Community Resource Team Home Care to support adults in maintaining independence at home. You will mentor Reablement Care Workers, work with colleagues to plan care, and ensure high standards of service delivery in a busy team.

The role involves weekend/evening work, requires NVQ/HSC Level 3+ in Health and Social Care and registration with Social Care Wales. Welsh language skills are an advantage.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ/HSC (or equivalent) Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care.
• Registered with Social Care Wales.
• Weekend and evening working required.
• Welsh language ability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support a senior carer in more complex cases and learn to promote independence at home.
• Line manage, supervise and mentor Reablement Care Workers.
• Work in partnership with adults to learn or relearn daily living skills.
• Ensure care delivery complies with Social Care Wales and local policies.
