Job summary

Cardiff Council is recruiting for part-time Homecare staff within the Community Resource Team (CRT) in Cardiff, to help citizens live independently at home and support reablement goals. Staff work to a rota, with shifts that may include evenings and weekends, and will be supported by health colleagues and a service delivery plan.

Essential skills include strong observation and recording abilities, a flexible and caring approach, and the ability to train to the required HSc level.

Qualifications

• The need for good observation and recording skills are essential.
• A flexible, focused approach is required to work in a dynamic and fast-changing service.
• Ability to train to achieve the relevant HSc (previously NVQ/QCF) level for the post.
• Welsh language and community languages would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Care staff will support the client to achieve their goals, working alongside health professionals.
• A service delivery plan supports the carer in their daily duties.
• Carers work to a rota, including evenings and weekends.
