Job summary

Cardiff Council’s CRT Home Care team is seeking a Senior Carer to support more complex cases and promote independence at home. You’ll work with adults, helping them learn or relearn daily living skills and partner with services to maintain connected communities.

You will also line-manage and mentor Reablement Care Workers, ensuring compliance with Social Care Wales and local policies, while supporting a positive, respectful working environment.

Qualifications

• Dynamic person with a passion for promoting citizens’ independence.
• Good team player with excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Significant experience using various IT systems and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to learn or re-learn daily living skills to increase independence.
• Line manage and mentor Reablement Care Workers in accordance with policy and legislation.
• Collaborate with adults, families and partners to maintain safe, supportive living at home.
