WSP is seeking a Senior Safety Consultant to join our Rail and Transit team in London. You will lead safety engineering and assurance services for rail projects, shaping safety protocols, risk assessments and project quality.

You will mentor junior consultants and drive proposals, with opportunity on global projects from the UK. You will bring experience in CSM-RA, RIR and related standards, plus a civil engineering background and strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and

Qualifications

• Experience delivering safety engineering and assurance services to rail projects.
• Background in risk management, systems engineering, safety engineering and/or interoperability.
• Civil engineering background preferred; UK/public sector rail experience advantageous.
• Experience on major rail infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to write proposals and engage with clients and stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead complex rail safety engineering and assurance services on projects using standards like EN50126/29 and IEC 61508.
• Lead certification and authorisation projects (NTSNs, Infrastructure and PRM, NTRs).
• Lead bidding, winning and delivery of complex projects with clients to meet objectives.
• Contribute to safety assurance management, safety approvals and CSM work for major infra projects.
• Support contractors with CSM and approvals for stations and civils works.
• Work on global projects from the UK with opportunity to contribute remotely.
• Lead workshops with clients and stakeholders and balance workload across projects.
