Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Technologist / Dosimetrist to join the Radiotherapy Physics team. The post holder will lead technical/clinical services in treatment planning, QA, and provide expert guidance to oncologists and healthcare professionals.

The role involves satellite sites, flexible working arrangements, and HCPC or RCT registration. Training and development opportunities are available within a modern radiotherapy suite.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent professional qualification.
• Membership of a relevant professional body.
• Relevant MSc or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Undertake calculations and measurements for accurate planning and treatment of patients.
• Use medical images to contour outlines and organs at risk.
• Carry out complex treatment planning tasks.
• Check plans and equipment for accurate dosimetry and brachytherapy treatments.
• Advise clinical oncologists and staff on planning issues.
• Identify issues with QA equipment and suggest remedial action.
• Participate in QA programmes including commissioning and calibration of radiotherapy equipment.
