North Middlesex Hospital is seeking a Radiotherapy Physicist to produce routine and complex treatment plans for external beam radiotherapy, using computerised planning systems to design and customise plans and to ensure accurate dosimetry calculations.

The role also involves advising clinical staff on plan options, checking plans and templates, and providing computing support to Radiotherapy Physics, including software development and commissioning of new equipment where appropriate.

Qualifikationen

• Produce routine and complex treatment plans for external beam radiotherapy.
• Advise clinical staff on the effects of various treatment plan options on patient dose distributions.
• Check and approve treatment plans, dose calculations and templates produced by others.
• Write software to support Physics computing in Radiotherapy and adapt existing software packages.

Aufgaben

• Provide support to Physics computing in Radiotherapy.
• Write software to the department's requirements and adapt existing software.
• Monitor and resolve problems on computing systems in Radiotherapy and Radiotherapy Physics.
• Participate in acceptance testing and commissioning of new equipment as appropriate.
