Job summary

Leeds Cancer Centre, part of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, invites applications for a Band 6 Treatment Planning Clinical Technologist in Radiotherapy Physics at St James's University Hospital. The role will contribute to planning routine and highly complex radiotherapy treatments, perform dosimetry, and support safe delivery of radiotherapy within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Degree in Clinical Technology or equivalent with radiotherapy treatment planning training.
Registered Clinical Technologist or Registered Therapy Radiographer, or a defined path to registration.
Experience operating 3D treatment planning systems.
Knowledge of CT simulator output and patient setup.
Experience with ISO 9001:2008 quality systems.
Experience with complex radiotherapy technology including linear accelerators (advantage).

Responsibilities

Plan routine and highly complex radiotherapy treatments.
Perform routine dosimetry and quality control.
Support advanced radiotherapy techniques, clinical trials and service development.
Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe delivery of radiotherapy services.
