Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley, Reading, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial activities on Thames Water projects, including water treatment and network upgrades. You will drive procurement, cost reporting and value engineering to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will lead procurement, maintain NEC contract discipline, mentor junior staff and collaborate with delivery teams across the project lifecycle from early involvement to handover.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Experience with NEC contracts and multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven experience leading commercial management on complex schemes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure robust cost management and provide timely reports and analysis.
• Lead procurement activities and manage supply chain relationships.
• Manage commercial relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to improve efficiency across the project lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor junior commercial staff and ensure contract compliance.
• Support value engineering and risk mitigation for Thames Water projects.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure projects meet time, budget and quality targets.
