Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control across water sector schemes in our UK operations. You will manage commercial reports, drive value, interpret NEC contracts, and collaborate with delivery teams to optimise efficiency from inception through handover.

This role offers opportunities to progress into management while working on high-impact projects for communities and the environment.

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience with NEC Contracts.
Strong numeracy and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel to sites within the region.

Responsibilities

Manage robust cost control processes and provide accurate reports and analysis for commercial decisions.
Work with delivery teams to identify and implement efficiency plans throughout projects.
Challenge team members to drive best value and ensure contractual compliance.
Ensure understanding of contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
Support clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks for successful outcomes.
Advise on contractual and commercial aspects to maintain project control.
Build and maintain strong client relationships with clear communication.
Provide guidance to junior commercial staff and nurture development.
Aspiration to progress into management in the future.
