Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to work on major water and wastewater projects across the UK, including London and Reading. You will help shape civil design from concept to commissioning, coordinating with commercial, operational and construction teams to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive delivery improvements, and ensure designs meet current standards while collaborating with clients to achieve project aims in a one-team

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering required or equivalent.
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
• Experience delivering high quality outputs in line with design, quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Providing design support and guidance for schemes and ensuring designs meet current legislation and standards.
• Working closely with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions across design, construction and beyond.
• Actively engage with the client, managing relationships and adopting a one-team approach to support their aims.
• Managing interfaces and integration of the civil design with other disciplines and production of documentation.
• Acting as technical checker on project documents and undertaking technical reviews.
• Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes including standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools.
• Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability and integration within existing systems.
• Supporting the development of the civil engineering team, mentoring engineers and identifying resources for projects.
