Job summary

Kier Group seeks a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Water Framework based in Falmer. This hybrid role supports commercial leadership, cost control, and governance across the programme.

Qualifications

• This role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and demonstrable senior commercial experience in a Tier 1 main contracting environment, preferably within water/reg utilities.
• Strong NEC understanding and knowledge of current Construction Law.
• Experience in procurement of subcontractors, including meetings, measurement, accruals, and certificates.
• Proven track record in commercial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support to project teams and maintain commercial information.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and Kier governance.
• Manage and develop the commercial team and ensure workload coverage.
• Maximise cash flow through cost control, measurement, valuation, invoicing and supplier payments.
• Strengthen client relationships and maintain high stakeholder engagement.
