Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Water team in Falmer with hybrid working. You will deliver commercial support, manage budgets and procurement, and mentor the team within a strategic delivery programme.

Ideally you have a degree in Quantity Surveying and extensive senior commercial experience in a Tier 1 environment, with NEC contract knowledge and strong reporting capabilities. This is a key role in driving commercial success for AMP 8 projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Significant senior commercial experience within Tier 1 main contracting.
• Experience with NEC forms of contract and current Construction Law.
• Procurement of subcontractors and managing associated meetings, accruals and certificates.
• Strong track record of commercial reporting, risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support Southern Water’s strategic delivery programme as part of Kier.
• Manage contracts' commercial performance and mentor junior team members.
• Provide forecasts and monthly cost/budgets reports; maintain client relationships.
• Maximise cash flow through measurement, valuation, invoicing and payments.
• Lead procurement activities and manage subcontractor relationships.
