Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Water Treatment Works Upgrade team based in Wisley, Surrey. The role focuses on commercial management for a construction phase project, with a collaborative commercial team ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include valuations, cashflows, cost reporting and providing contractual guidance on orders and changes. The position is 45 hours per week with some flexibility; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• A construction related degree is required.
• Must hold a full driving licence.
• Demonstrable experience in a commercial role for a contractor, Civils exposure preferred.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms is essential.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with procurement strategy, manage subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
• Manage valuations, cashflows, turnover forecasts, and monthly cost reports.
• Provide legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handle notices and subcontractor admin.
• Drive commercial initiatives, create margin improvement plans, support team in opportunities.
• Lead and manage junior staff, meet workload targets, deadlines, and tasks.
