Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Cost & Commercial Management team in the Reading–London corridor. You will lead post-contract administration, manage NEC-based processes, and monitor cost and cash flow to protect budgets.

You’ll collaborate with clients and project teams to drive value and ensure governance across multiple water sector programs. Ideal candidates will have MRICS or be working towards chartership, strong leadership, and proven ability to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC contracts and civil/ consultancy projects.
• Strong cost and commercial management capabilities within a consultancy.
• Proven ability to monitor project cost and forecast budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership of junior staff.
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject; MRICS path preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-contract administration and cost control across NEC-based projects.
• Develop client relationships and manage commercial interfaces.
• Monitor cost variances, cash flow and payments; ensure governance.
• Coordinate with project teams to deliver on KPIs and objectives.
• Provide risk/value management guidance and prepare final accounts.
• Mentor junior staff and lead commissions as required.
