Job summary

Arcadis is seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our Cost & Commercial Management team, supporting a Global Client in the Water sector. Based in Reading and London, you will lead a team, manage NEC contract administration, cost monitoring, and value engineering to deliver large-scale water projects.

The role requires strong consultancy experience, degree in a relevant subject (MRICS preferred), ability to mentor juniors, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC contracts and cost management within a consultancy setting.
• Ability to lead client-facing cost control and reporting activities.
• Proven track record mentoring junior staff on multi-million pound projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team alongside the Commission Lead and manage post-contract administration of NEC contracts.
• Monitor cost variance, cash flow, and forecasting to stay within budget.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver project deliverables and KPIs.
• Provide risk and value management recommendations for projects.
• Manage relationships with clients and external stakeholders to drive opportunities.
• Analyse data to identify cost trends and inform commercial decisions.
• Oversee final accounts, ensuring they are audited, negotiated and agreed.
• Support junior staff development and contribute to programme performance.
