Job summary

Arcadis is seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors to join its Cost & Commercial Management team for a Global Client in the Water Sector, operating across Reading and London. You will lead cost management on a range of water/utilities projects, including post-contract administration of NEC contracts and KPI delivery.

You will influence stakeholders, mentor junior staff, and manage projects from inception through completion, in a dynamic resilience business context.

Qualifications

• Self-management and prioritisation under pressure.
• Good knowledge of construction processes and cost/commercial management in a consultancy setting.
• NEC Contract experience.
• Ability to manage junior staff on projects typically £5m–£40m.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
• Experience in coaching/mentoring junior colleagues and emerging leadership skills.
• Capable of taking a project through from inception to completion.
• Degree in a relevant subject ideally; MRICS or working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management on projects and post-contract administration of NEC contracts.
• Build and maintain client, colleague and external stakeholder relationships.
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion within budget.
• Monitor cost variance and contract cash flow to minimise changes.
• Collaborate with client and commercial teams to deliver KPIs, cost control and value engineering.
• Advise on risk and value management in projects.
• Lead teams and manage commissions as needed.
• Ensure final accounts are audited, negotiated and agreed.
