Job summary

Kier Group plc. in Wisley, Surrey, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Water Treatment Works Upgrade project. You will be part of the commercial team, delivering commercial management and controlling cost through active contract administration.

Key duties include procurement strategy adherence, valuations, cashflow, cost reporting, and providing legal and contractual guidance on orders and changes, while leading junior staff and fostering collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Construction related degree.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor with Civils exposure.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms is desirable.
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
• Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
• Providing legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
• Driving commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
• Leading and managing junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met.
• You hold a Full driving licence and a Construction related degree.
• You have demonstrable experience in a Commercial role for a contractor, ideally with Civils exposure.
• You have experience with a variety of contract forms.
• You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
